Its a "Cakewalk" ........ :)

Hey guys....
I know its a bit late for this post...... but anyways I thought of sharing this with all of you....
And this is the reason that I am not blogging very frequently these days...
Actually I am trying out and learning different cake decorating techniques...:)
And I am enjoying it soooooooo much.......
First you have to bake the cake and then you get to make them pretty and its so much fun...
And then the best part comes........... when you eat it.........yummmmmmmmm..............

So this is the cake I made for New Year celebration .....

And this is the cake I made for a friend as a New Year gift...

And this was just for fun....  :)
I had some extra sugar paste roses so i decorate this small doughnut i made earlier....

I used "Chocolate truffle" icing for the filling and on the top...
And then i made some "Sugar Paste" roses, leaves and buds and arranged them on the top...
And then I used some melted white chocolate for writing.........
Everyone loved the cake and it was a huge hit.........  ^_^

Go Green........ :)

This is a very simple design and if you like bright shades on your nails and fuss free design then you can try this...

  1. Lakme High Definition Eyeliner
  2. VOV Nail paint in Black color
  3. Colorbar (Apple Martini) Nail Paint
  4. Colorbar (French Tip White) Nail Paint
  5. TeenTeen Clear top coat
  6. Lakme Nail paint Remover
  7. A toothpick
  8. A Q-tip (to clean the smudges on the corners of the nails)
  9. A small steel bowl
So what I did was painting my nails with 2 coats of "Apple Martini" Nail Paint from Colorbar... then after it dried I took a small drop of "French Tip White" Nail Paint from Colorbar on the back of my steel bowl and dipped the back of my toothpick (this makes it easy to make big mess free even sized dots) and made 3 dots on the upper left side of my nail in form of a triangle...
I also made a small stem for my flower from the same nail paint with the tip of toothpick.... then I put a small drop of my Black Nail Paint on the back of my steel bowl and dipped the pointed tip of my toothpick in it and made small dots... 1 in the center of the flower and others starting from its side following the curve of my nail...
After the nail paint dried completely I applied a clear top coat Now for the final cleanup step... if you have any extra paint on the sides of  your nails then dip a Q-tip in Nail paint Remover and clean it... and you are done... :)

Plz do tell me how do you all like my new nail art...

XOXO

French Manicure with a chic twist

Today I was in mood for something simple, subtle and stylish so this is the result ...  :)

This design is pretty simple and all the products that I had used for this design are:

What I used for this Nail Art :
  1. Lakme High Definition Eyeliner
  2. Colorbar (French Tip White) Nail Paint
  3. Street Wear (Sunshine) Nail paint
  4. VOV Nail paint in Black color
  5. TeenTeen Clear top coat
  6. Lakme Nail paint Remover
  7. A toothpick
  8. A Q-tip (to clean the smudges on the corners of the nails)
  9. A small steel bowl
  1. I started with painting the nail tip of small finger and thumb with Street Wear's "Sunshine" and the rest of the fingers with Colorbar's "French Tip White" and let it to dry completely.
  2. Then I used a toothpick dipped in white color to make the leaves and dots on my ring finger and thumb.
  3. After the white nail paint dries off  I used another toothpick to add the black details to the design. If you have difficulty with the toothpick then you can use a eyeliner to do the fine details.
  4. Now I took a Q-tip and dipped it in the nail polish remover and cleaned any smudges around the cuticles.
  5. After that I applied a clear top coat to seal the whole design in place, this helps the nail art to last longer and also adds shine.
I loved this design, very elegant and chic :)
What do you guys think?

"Night Lilies" Nail Design

Hi everyone,
I love doing nail art in my free time.It adds a bling to the whole look on its own and plus, it looks super pretty.

This design is pretty simple and all the products that I had used for this design are:

1. VOV Nail paint in Black color
2. VOV Nail paint in Silver
3. VOV Nail paint in Blue color
4. TeenTeen Clear top coat
5.  Lakme Nail paint Remover
6. A toothpick (to draw the lilies etc)
7. A Q-tip (to clean the smudges on the corners of the nails)
8. A small steel bowl

If you guys want, I can make a step-by-step picture tutorial but for now, I would just describe every step:
  1. Apply Black nailpaint like any regular nailpaint and apply at least two coats so that its completely opaque.Let the base black coat dry completely.
  2. Put a small drop of  blue nail paint on the back of the bowl [ this will prevent the whole bottle of nail polish from drying ;) and you can clean the back of the bowl afterwards with remover]. Use a toothpick to dip in the blue nailpaint and make the lily petals and other patterns on your nails, if it seems tough then use a pencil first to draw the lilies and then use the blue nailpaint.
  3. Similarly use another toothpick to add the silver details to the design.
  4. Take the Q-tip and dip it in the nail polish remover solution and clean any smudges around the cuticles.
  5. Apply a clear top coat to secure the whole design in place, this helps the nail art to last longer and also adds shine.
There you go! Now you have pretty nails which would definitely attract others attention. Let your nails do the talking ;)

Hope you enjoyed my first post. Please comment and let me know how can I improve or what you liked or didn't liked in this post.

Keep smiling :)
